I’m 28 years old and a few of my favorite things are swimming in lakes and rivers, horseback riding and singing.  I’ve been waiting tables since I was 16, and I really enjoy my work.  I’ve been struggling with drug addiction.  I have been incarcerated several times and have tried different programs but was previously unsuccessful.  However, I have recently found through my studies of the Bible that changes in behavior begin on the inside.  I wasn’t able to change my behavior because my heart and my thoughts were still the same.  Jeremiah 29:11 promises us a future and a hope.  I truly believe I can have that with God’s help and with my willingness to follow Him.  My new life can start now.  A special thank you to DreamWeave for reminding me that one of my skills is making something out of nothing – that what the world may view as worthless can still be made beautiful.
