I’m 26 and started using about 8 years ago.  That’s when things started going downhill.  I lost my hospice job, my house, and my car.  My dad had my 8-year-old son.  I lost my dad in February 2016 and I came to jail in March.  Since I came to jail I have gotten into the Second Chances Dog Training program, and it has changed me a lot.  I’ve learned patience and how not to react fast.  And I’ve been in the DreamWeave program to keep myself busy, and I’ve learned that it could really be my passion.  This time in jail has taught me a lot and being involved in these programs has given me hope for the future.  When I get out I am hopeful I will be able to regain custody of my son, rebuild my relationship with my mom, and live a happy, normal life free from addiction.  And most of all, God has carried me through this struggle and brought me into the light.
